Cookies are small files stored by your browser. GaranDB.eu uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work securely and, only if you accept them in the cookie banner, Google Analytics cookies that measure how the site is used. We use no advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Cookies we set
- garanro-session — keeps your session (sign-in, forms). Expires when you close the browser or after 2 hours of inactivity.
- XSRF-TOKEN — protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Same duration as the session.
- remember_web_… — only if you tick “Remember me” at sign-in; keeps you signed in for up to about 13 months or until you sign out.
- garan_cookie_notice — remembers that you have seen the cookie notice. 12 months.
- garan_consent — remembers your choice in the cookie banner (analytics accepted or rejected). 6 months.
Third-party cookies
- Google reCAPTCHA — on sign-in, registration and comment forms, when enabled. It is loaded only after you click “Load the security check”; Google may then set cookies (for example _GRECAPTCHA) to tell people from bots. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Sign in with Google — if you choose it, Google sets its own cookies on its domain during sign-in.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) — only after you click “Accept analytics”. It sets _ga and _ga_… (up to 2 years) to count visits and the actions taken on the site: pages viewed, label and plugin downloads, sign-ups and messages sent. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Administration pages and the embed script on shops are never measured.
The embed script on shops
The GARAN script installed on partner shops sets no cookies. Only when a shop owner opens our visual selector from their account does it use the browser’s temporary session storage, which is cleared when the tab is closed.
Managing cookies
Because these cookies are necessary, they do not require consent. You can delete or block them from your browser settings; without them, signing in and sending forms will not work.
You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; rejecting analytics removes the Google Analytics cookies.
